Why Choose PiddlePaws?

WHY CHOOSE PIDDLEPAWS?

You should choose PiddlePaws if you want the absolute best care for your pets! The difference between us and other pet sitters is that we always go above and beyond. There isn't one visit or walk where we aren't fully dedicated to providing the best care to your pet. We don't just simply care for your pets, we care for them like they were our own. Our pets are family and they mean the world to us and it is very important to us that our clients feel the same way about their pets. We are so grateful to wake up every day and get to do what we love. PiddlePaws isn't just our company, it is our passion.

PiddlePaws is all about their comfort and your peace of mind. Everything we do is based upon those two things. Once you are part of the PiddlePaws family, you will never have to worry when you can't be there for your pets because you know we will be there.

WE ARE A PROFESSIONAL PET SITTING & DOG WALKING COMPANY. WE ARE CERTIFIED, BONDED, & INSURED WITH OVER 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

We are a member of Pet Sitter Associates (PSA), a well-respected organization and one of the national associations of pet sitters. As a member, we are provided ongoing education surrounding best practices, industry trends, and information regarding new legislation. In addition to being a member, we are fully bonded and insured through them as well. As a pet owner, the best thing you can do for your pets and your property is to choose a pet sitter or dog walker that is bonded and insured. This is of the utmost importance not only for your peace of mind, but also for your protection as well as your pets and your home.

We are certified in pet care by the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), a professional business association that provides business resources, industry expertise, education and training, certifications, and legislative support for the pet care services industry. Being certified through IBPSA, we have received the necessary education to care for pets safely and responsibly while pledging to provide conscientious care to them, continuing to learn and improve our services, respect customer confidence, and operate our business honorably, honestly, and fairly.

We have over 15 years of professional pet care experience in a variety of settings such as animal shelters and rescues, pet hotels, boarding and doggy daycare facilities, veterinary hospitals, etc. Throughout our years of hands-on experience, we have been exposed to many different situations providing us with the knowledge, skills, and training necessary to ensure the safety of your pets at all times. Understanding animal behavior and body language are extremely important when it comes to safety and communication and also for building trust between us and your pets. Having the training to remain calm and act quickly is key in any emergency situation. We are professionally trained in dog and cat CPR and have basic pet first aid and emergency preparedness knowledge and we carry special kits with us at all times.

THE IMPORTANCE OF HIRING A PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER

Given the growing pet-care industry, it has become more important than ever for pet owners to become more selective when choosing a pet sitter. While it may seem tempting to ask a friend, family member, or neighbor, it is important to consider that these individuals are not properly trained or insured. And while hiring a professional might cost a little more, keep in mind that you are paying for an experienced professional who has the necessary training and is certified in pet care, bonded and insured, and is a member of a professional organization of pet sitters. While there are a growing number of online marketplaces for pet care that exist today in which you can hire independent contractors for pet sitting and dog walking services, you should also keep in mind that these contractors are not professionals and also may not have the proper training and experience needed.

IT IS JUST THE TWO OF US

We understand how hard it can be to leave your pets in the care of someone else. It is of the utmost importance to us that we provide you with peace of mind knowing that your pets will be in the best hands possible when you can be there. We truly believe that by establishing a trusting relationship with our clients, we can do just that. We always start off with a Meet and Greet prior to beginning our services. In addition to going over all of the details about your pet and their needs, the Meet and Greet is a great way for us all to get to know each other and make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible. We will answer any questions and address any concerns you may have.

It is also just the two of us that provide care and we are both always present for the Meet and Greet. You never will have to worry about having a stranger who you've never met come into your home and care for your pets. We don't work with any other sitters or independent contractors so when you book our services, you are always getting one of or both of us. We also work very closely and stay in constant communication with each other throughout the day when we aren't together. And you can always reach out to either one of us at anytime and we will fill each other in on anything we need to know. In certain circumstances, it can also be very beneficial to have us come together for a visit.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR PET CARE

All of our pets are unique and special and they all have different needs. The needs of a puppy can be very different than those of an older and less active dog. That is why all of the care we provide is customized to meet you and your pets specific needs. We will go over everything we need to know about your pets including their habits and routines, what they like and dislike, things we should be on the lookout for when we visit, and anything special you'd like us to do for them. All of our services are all inclusive as well, and can include playtime, walks, feeding, cuddles, etc.

YOU WILL HAVE PEACE OF MIND WITH OUR UPDATES

Whether you are just leaving your pets for a long work day or are going away on vacation, we want you to have peace of mind that your pets are safe and relaxed. That is why we provide you with updates each time we visit them. We let you know how they are doing and if they ate, did their business, etc. as well as let you know if we notice anything unusual. We also provide pictures with all of our updates.

YOUR PET WILL HAVE MANY BENEFITS STAYING IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR HOME

Eliminating travel by keeping your pets at home will eliminate stress for both you and your pets. It is from our own personal experience working in boarding facilities that we truly believe that in most circumstances, pets are much better off in their own home than in an unfamiliar place. This is predominantly why we chose to pursue in-home pet care as a career- because we truly want what is best for your pets. We are both so passionate about animals and know that like us, your pets are family and that is why it means so much to us that they are as comfortable and safe as possible. It is also for that same reason that we do realize that there are certain circumstances where boarding can be a better option such as pets with severe separation anxiety that could potentially put themselves in danger, or pets with medical conditions which require continuous observation.

Our pets are just like us, they prefer the comforts of being in their own home. They prefer to sleep in their own bed, eat from their regular dish, and roam their yard looking for their favorite spot. They will be happier, more relaxed, and feel more secure in the comfort of their own home. Being dropped off at an unfamiliar place can be very scary and stressful for them. Many pets often don't sleep, don't want to eat, or work themselves up to the point of getting sick from being in a strange place. They also often don't get the one-on-one attention they would get. Staying at home will also avoid any interruptions to their daily diet and exercise routines and minimize their exposure to illness, which is key to their well- being. Eliminating travel for your pets will not only be less stressful for you, but for your pets as well. By coming into your home, we are able to provide your pets with one on one care and give them lots of love and attention just as if you were there yourself!
